In 2013, Shannon Taylor expanded her interior design company to create a store called Barrel & Board. While owning a store had long been a dream of Shannon’s the toll of managing life and the endless demands of a brick and mortar store became too much. A few years later, the store was closed, but Shannon kept the interior design portion alive as Barrel & Board Design. Now, many years later, Shannon has found a way to bring back her beloved store through the online experience. Naturally, she kept the original name, as it seems fitting. Through this online marketplace Shannon brings you tried and true items that she can’t live without. As the marketplace and styles shift, so will Barrel & Board’s products. The Story of The Experience
While Shannon’s summer trip to Scotland in 2024 solidified the direction, creating a product for her client’s has been on her radar for the past few years. She has always wanted to create product that was unique. The Experience pairs our custom essential oil candles with other small vendors that when combined evoke similar emotional journeys as those experienced by Shannon and her travel companions.
